Moonjuice came out of Brisbane, original music, live shows, and a run of recordings that landed in some unexpected places. Tracks placed with Quiksilver and Kelly Slater reached audiences across the global surf community.
Recording sessions with Daniel Jones, the producer and co-songwriter behind Savage Garden, produced material that opened doors. Kirk Pengilly of INXS selected songs for Layne Beachley's Life in the Fast Layne, a project celebrating one of Australia's most celebrated surfers.
The band toured across Australia and built a following in the Brisbane before Douglas Lord shifted focus to his digital career. The music remains part of the story.
